hi friends and colleagues -

earlier today i sent an email about the wonderful free software named
Wink which helps anyone create computer tutorials showing screen
activities.

a quick update to say that this software was chosen to receive a
Noble Piece Prize.

i mentioned in the earlier email that Wink swf files might be able to be
loaded into Flash for the addition of audio narration. i spoke a bit too
soon. while theoretically possible, it's pretty tough to do. it's
probably better to wait for the next version of Wink, due out in a few
months, which will offer sound.

you might still want to experiment with adding sound "externally" to a
Wink flash presentation -- such that the sound file plays concurrently in
QuickTime, or somesuch. this will help your community better understand
the current and future capabilities of Wink.

surprise us with what you create using Wink. be proud, be free. (be free,
be proud.)
