The United Nations Information Technology Service (www.unites.org) has been tracking how volunteers use ICT as part of their service, including to help close the digital divide, for more than a few years now. The site hasn't been updated in a while, but still has extensive resources. It's part of the UN Volunteers programme (but is not limited to UNV).
