Nancy MacDuff and her Volunteer Today site are providing even more
information to help those working with volunteers engaged in
activities relating to Hurricane Katrina, especially services for
evacuees.
www.volunteertoday.com
I've been sending her notices from the Digital Divide Network about
the efforts of volunteers, so you may see some of these efforts
highlighted on the web site -- some of you out there are doing
amazing work that is a model for others, and the volunteer today site
is a great way to get these models out to others!
She's hoping to have a database of volunteer managers available to
help directly other volunteer managers working in Katrina-related
situations -- even to offer some relief. These volunteer managers are
highly-trained and experienced -- many are members of the Association
for Volunteer Administration.
So please continue to spread this information through your networks,
and visit the site to offer more information, find more information,
whatever.
