It's not that. It's that people need to be free to speak their
minds. If everything we say is publicly viewable, there are many
reasons why some people might end up saying less than they would
otherwise. And there are times when we discuss topics that really
are somewhat private, involving personal details.
I think the current approach works. Yes, I have to write a lot,
but it's not that bad when I take the time to do it. And once I
get caught up, it will be easier to stay caught up.
I've completed the first drafts of the November and December
monthlies, and the January quarterly. I'm currently waiting on
final confirmation about some funding. When I have that, I can
add it as an inline update to the November summary before I
publish it. That's also related to the DConf registration rate,
which is why I haven't launched that yet. As soon as I get the
word, I'll publish the November summary and the next two will
follow in short order.
