I just dabble in programming for fun. About a year and a half
ago I started to learn C. Fell in love with it. It was the
first language that I got excited about. Before that, many
decades ago in college, I learned Pascal and really enjoyed it.
I just came across D because I wanted to try something new.
Wow, is all I can say. I am super excited to learn this
language. I love the C style syntax but I also see the pascal
come out from time to time (good old writeln).
Under the hood the Dlang's writeln is much more powerfull than
its Pascal equivalent (based on an obscure, sorry about being a
bit opiniated here..., construct called "array of const"). The D
version is interesting because it's a variadic template. Anyway I
let you discover that.
D seems to be blending so many wonderful things together.
With all that said, I hope D will catch on with more and more.
I see it has a future and more people need to get their hands
dirty with it. I believe people will love it once they try it.
Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement about my new
adventure in learning, what seems to be, an awesome language.
