Why is Throwable.TraceInfo.toString not @safe?

I'd like to log stacktraces of caught exceptions in an @safe manner.
However, Throwable.TraceInfo.toString is not @safe (or @trusted), so
this is not possible. Why is it not @safe? Can it be @trusted?
