This vote was rather informal so I allowed myself to do a tally without
having specified a deadline etc. So I'm not sure how much this all
counts... should we just settle for front and back?

Um, awesome thanks for the vote.

Just thinking about what will happen when we get containers
integrating these kind of ranges.  Like a deque.  With current
nomenclature we might end up with names like popHead and popToe.
Both sound kinda... gross.

Now if we are about to settle for front and back, how about following STL all the way through and using popFront and popBack? That would make for a very clean nomenclature.
