Just thought it would be nice to give a heads up about Apple's plans to replace Objective-C in the long run.

The language was presented today at the WWDC Keynote, looks like Ruby, uses ARC alongside the Objective-C runtime.

It also has a nice REPL experience, similar to Python's worksheets in IPython.

"Thank God!!" I told my colleagues today when they told me about it. Swift is like 10x better langauge than that abomination called "Objective-C".

I kind of liked it back in 1999, when I had to port a Particle Engine from Objective-C/NeXT to C++/Windows.

However after so many languages in my toolbox, I would have to agree to the language's many warts.
