You don't need to escape all the special symbols used in Markdown, only in
certain place. In Markdown, if you start a line with a star, '*', it will be
interpreted as the beginning of an unordered list. But if you write a star in
the middle of text it will just output a star, as expected.
I know that Markdown formatting is context sensitive.
And what happens if you want to have a * at the beginning of the line of output?
And a | in a table entry? And so on for each of the context sensitive things?
