Just sharing. It seems that some at least want a GC in Rust.

Servo has to interact with the SpiderMonkey GC, because it has to interact with Javascript objects. As far as I'm aware there are no plans to add GC to Rust itself (mandatory or otherwise), and the work on GC in Rust will focus primarily on Rust code being able to work with other code that does have GC, preferably in such a way that it is safe and has minimal overhead.
