Just for your information, I understand what you mean Manu :) (and agree with you).
I guess it might be helpful if you could spell out (in pseudo code) how you would wrap part of the c++ std library (std.vector and std.map?) in your proposed way and how you have to do it now. This might help to highlight your point.
