It's not amazing at all :-)

The reasons people give to not try something new are hardly ever the actual reasons. People will make up on the spot reasons that they think you want to hear or that sound good. Their actual reasons they keep to themselves because they don't sound good.

If you talk with someone enough you'll eventually figure out their actual 
reasons.
