Just as you, I'm not a big fan of JS. But I learn what pages that I use that need JS to work properly and enable it for them.
Of course, in this case, I did actually read what was on the pop-in before going all Nick on it, but it wasn't remotely clear to me that "Download source", "Download .tar.gz" or "Download .zip" really meant "current head" (actually, I didn't even suspect that it might have meant that - I didn't know what the hell they were referring to and I didn't want to assume.)
