It is not fully implemented and apparently Walter would like a different
solution, because it is quite ugly. But I think there hasn't been
another proposal yet.

My understanding was that the changes to support that are extensive and Walter
has not been at a point where he's ready to fully review and merge the pull
request.
I don't think they are. Template parameter matching is still buggy iirc.
