[]-1 // -1 (a number, not a string... WAT?)
{}+1 // 1 (a number, not a string... huh?!)
[]+"a" // "a" (weird, but OK)
{}+"a" // NaN (WAT?)
Even worse:
"a"+[] // "a" (weird, but OK, consistent with []+"a")
"a"+{} // "a[object Object]" (WAT? inconsistent with {}+"a")
