"real world" vs "not serious/not real/hobby" Perhaps between professional/public-service and hobby/personal-fun, disaster/emergency-related Amateur Radio and other communications resources need a different identity? Members of Disaster Medical Assistance Teams, an extention of Homeland Security, become Federal employees when activated. Perhaps Amateur Radio ops need to cease being Amateurs and become Federal Communications Officers (or something like that) when activated in disaster/emergency conditions? We will need to move this to another list but I thought I'd raise the question here since the phrase appeared here. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks! & 73, doc kd4e |_|___|_| | | & | | {| /\ {| / \ {| / \ {| / @ \ {| | |~_|~~~~| | -| | | ============\ # http://bibleseven.com/kd4e.html KD4E ===================================== West Central Florida ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Need a Digital mode QSO?
