The April 18th meeting for the Amateur Radio Association of the Tonawandas (ARATS) in suburban Buffalo, NY will feature a presentation by Andy K3UK on PSK31 and other digital communication modes. The program will feature an explanation on hardware requirements, how to interface a transceiver with a soundcard, a review of available free software , and a tutorial on how to tune in PSK31. Additionally, Andy will present a brief overview of newer digital modes such as Olivia, MFSK16, Throb,Chip64, PAX2, ALE, and DominioEX.
Andy K3UK is the moderator or the worldwide digitalradio group on the Internet with over 2000 members, and has lectured on digital communications at several radio clubs in Western New York, including STARS, CCAFMA, CCRA, NCARC, and Erie County RACES. Andy has also served as a member of the help teams for several digital radio applications including Zakanaka, MMTTY, and an early English help file for Chip64.
