John, Open UI-View, then on the very top line there is "Map", click on that. Then "Load A Map" button and a drop down menu should show and then select " The World view in color", then OK.
On the extra maps go to the UI-View web site: http://www.ui-view.org/ Then click on "Maps". Then "Maps of Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and around the world - by Jack VE3UPH" then "USA" folder.
