The first suggestion is to get rid of Window ME.  Most software programs
really dont support that operating system, which was just MS way to
"changing" programs to sell more before they came out with something better.
It really is the worst OS they have built.  Most all computers than can load
Wme   can work with W2000 so you might look for a cheap W2000 at your local
hamfest, etc.

I have no answer to your immediate problem, except to unhook the crazy
thing.
