Hi Simon, Here are my observations: 1. Many operators are familiar with RTTY and enjoy seeing Upper Case for QSOs. 2. On PSK31, when decoding errors appear, they are usually Lower Case characters. So, sending Upper Case sometimes helps operators to more easily visually catch the correctly decoded characters amidst the jumble of lower case errors. 73 Bonnie KQ6XA .
