Hi Danny,

I think you may have missed it... there was some discussion
previously. The new digitalradio frequencies are not intended to be
"spots" or spot frequencies. They are more like "slices of spectrum"
or "passbands" in which any mode, or combinations of modes, may be
operated within.

With the addition of auto-tuning Reed Solomon ID encode/decode in
Multipsk, and other types of auto-decoding of multiple signals within
a passband, it certainly makes switching modes (or using an uncommon
mode) much easier. It seems pretty easy to just set your VFO, or put
all the digitalradio freqs in your transceiver's memory, and there you
are. Cool!

If you look at the new digitalradio web page that Andy just put up,
there is an image that might make it a little clearer what is
happening. It shows the digitalradio "passbands" on 20meters and
30meters.

For the 20m freq at 14077 USB, the "passband" shown is from 14077.25
to 14080.0kHz. So, you can move around wherever you want within that
range, depending upon QRM, etc. Probably most of us will end up
somewhere in the middle, maybe around 1500Hz audio, and that would be
a center of around 14078.5 or so, +/- QRM.

I hope to work some stations on the new digitalradio freqs next
weekend... I will be in Hong Kong (VR2/KQ6XA). I will post my sked,
and probably be using Olivia 500/16 on the 40m international freq.
