Blind Linux users may have it better than Windows users. Check out Emacspeak http://emacspeak.sf.net -- you can run your entire Linux system from within EMACS using it. Heck, I run my entire system from within EMACS anyway. The author, T.V. Raman, is a friend, though not a ham.
