Ok, I seem to be doing PSK-31 to Olivia 16/500 about 10:1 at this point. The narrow (300 Hz) filter would seem to be the better bet for me. Cut it out for Olivia, and use it to fish PSK-31 signals out of the "mud," and for CW work. There is a mod (expensive) to allow for 2 additional filters in the FT-817ND, but one would suffice. I don't do any SSB to speak of, so something to support my digital efforts is more to the point. Of course, on NBFM on 2 meters and 70 cm, for local repeaters, no filter is needed.
