Thanks Steinar, Well we had a 100% increase in wspr activity in ther UK on 500khz , jumped from 2 stations to 4 ! and may be more to follow as finally the 'linear' concept has taken hold.
The frequeny I used 503 was well inside the band , but some moved up , into the sideband noise from the lw station on 252 Khz - gives a 504 carrier with am sidebands , 20 db over the noise at my qth. I was seeing false decodes at times. There is a dead zone close in to 504 , so we'v moved close in with 503.9 as the carrier center,looks to be ok. I can see LA9BEA is uploading to the wspr database http://wsprnet.org/meptspots.php? mode=html&band=2190&limit=100&findcall=g0nbd&findreporter=&sort=date Tnx- Graham .. --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, Steinar Aanesland <saa...@...> wrote: > > > Hi Graham > > This is what I am receiving here in Norway on 502.4 KHz this evening. > > 212600 5 -26 0.7 -30 0 G4JNT IO90 23 > 213000 12 -15 1.2 -1 0 M0BMU IO91 30 > 213000 6 -23 0.4 66 0 > 213200 4 -20 0.6 66 0 > 213400 5 -25 0.6 -30 0 G4JNT IO90 23 > 213600 2 -20 0.6 66 0 > 213800 1 -28 0.7 -30 0 > 213800 9 -21 1.4 -1 0 M0BMU IO91 30 > 213800 4 -22 0.5 66 0 > 214600 12 -15 1.2 -1 0 M0BMU IO91 30 > 214800 2 -23 0.3 66 0 > > My antenna is 7 m long vertical fishing rod, loaded with a 9:1 unun, > about 6m above the ground. > > The radio is an icom ic-r75 > > 73 de LA5VNA Steinar > > > > > Graham wrote: > > As a means to enable the casual and ardent WSPR user to establish a > > transmitting or monitoring station covering the uk 500 band a > > generalised frequency has been adopted, being defined as dial > > frequency and ERP power. > > > > The dial frequency follows normal WSPR practice, where as the power > > reported in ERP may differ from the norm. > > > > The efficiency of low band antennas falls well short of 'hf' > > systems , reporting a power to the Ae of say 100 watts for a erp of > > 100 mW would not convey too much to the observer, ERP should give a > > better reporting structure. > > > > Rx/Tx set infromation > > > > Dial frequency 502.4 Khz > > Mode USB > > Power ERP (Effective Radiated Rower) > > RF Carrier freq 503.9 Khz +/- 100 Hz > > > > > > http://groups.google.com/group/uk500khz/web/wspr-activity-from- the-uk > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ > > > > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > > Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com > > Version: 8.0.176 / Virus Database: 270.10.13/1916 - Release Date: 26.01.2009 07:08 > > > > >
