if it is the right interface there should be 2 phono plugs .... one for audio
(patch in) and one for ptt
....
that is what i read from the donner homepage ...
what you need is
audio in trx > line out pc
audio out > line in pc (can be mic in on some laptops)
ptt trx > serial port
that 3 connections has to be made ...you CAN build your interface from parts of
your junkbox ..... you will find several descriptions in the net for
homebrewing ...
but if you don´t know where the hot side of a soldering iron is (just kidding)
:-)
it is better to buy one
just my 2 cents

  Subject: [digitalradio] Interface

I'm going to use Donner's Digital Interface
(http://home.att.net/~n8st/DDI-index.html)
and it comes with a phono plug for my FT1000MP, where does the phono plug,
plug into on the back of the radio? I'm running HRD.
