Note that if you use MagicJack VOIP telephone service, most computers will not burn a CD or DVD with MagicJack plugged in.
Unplug MagicJack, burn your disk, then plug MagicJack back in when you are finished to reload the software. I found this out the hard way, as I thought my DVD burner was kaput. - Then I happened upon a reference to the MagicJack angle, unplugged my MagicJack and discovered that my DVD burner was OK after all, it worked just fine!
