Location: Middletown, NJ * * *Job Description: *Experience in testing is crucial. Candidate should have experience in working in a network lab environment writing and executing detailed test plans. Candidate should understand the process of testing, be able to find bugs and document bugs. The candidate must be able to investigate and implement solutions. Candidate should have in depth knowledge of TCP/IP computer networking and network protocols. Should have experience at the Internet Service Provider level. Specifics • Hands on knowledge of Cisco OSR platform • Command line hands on knowledge of Cisco routers and switches including: • Catalyst 2900 and 6509 running native IOS. • Cisco 7613 and 10GE* • Cisco GSR 12000 platform • Cisco 7200 platform • Cisco Service Modules such as FWSM, etc. *most important Network Protocols • Detailed knowledge of BGP, OSPF, static and RIP routing • Knowledge of LAN technology such as VLAN, trunking, etc. • Ability to decode and analyze packets at the packet and protocol level • Detailed knowledge of Access Control Lists • Detailed knowledge of SNMP Current Job Description and Responsibilities: Engineer performs configuration development and test for Consumer DSL distribution router projects. Engineer provides needed router expertise on the 7600 platform with 10GE. Engineer works closely with systems developers in the project and supports the end-to-end environment. Performance testing a strong plus. Knowledge of DSL a plus.
