Hello, One of our clients has an immediate opening for an experienced PeopleSoft System Tester. This is going to be a 1-2 YEAR+ long consulting position in New York, NY.
Vacancy for a PeopleSoft System Tester to support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of the HR and Benefits functions of PeopleSoft HRMS. Under the direction of the Test Lead the Tester will execute test scripts for PeopleSoft HRMS customizations, patches and upgrades. Perform system, functional, stress, regression, smoke, integration, performance, load and user acceptance testing. Track system defects with defect tracking tool and provide supporting reports and documentation. This position must be able to with the Project Manager, Functional Design and Development Lead, and key business partners to design, develop, test and implement product initiatives to support production. This person will work in various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Specific Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: " Work in a functional/technical capacity with a good understanding of business processes, relational databases and PeopleSoft table structure " Collaborate with release teams to provide analysis, design, development and testing guidance and support. " Streamline implementation and support of project systems. " Update documentation and improve processes. Required Qualifications: " Possess a thorough understanding of development and testing methodologies " Experience with Peopletools, upgrade/patch testing, ERP Technical Architecture, and blackbox testing " 3+ years experience creating testing deliverables that include Test Strategies, Cases and Scripts " Strong analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. analysis, recreation and documenting the impact on the system overall) " 3+ years experience testing PeopleSoft 8.x configuration, new functionality, patches, fixes and upgrades " Thorough knowledge performing data analysis using PeopleTools (SQR and SQL) " Functional knowledge of HR Benefits and payroll administration processes " 3+ years experience testing legacy systems and 3rd party vendor interfaces " 3+yrs experience using Rational Suite (Rational Functional Tester, Test Manager, Req Pro, Clear Case and Clear Quest) Preferred Qualifications: " Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementations " Experience working with PeopleSoft Implementations in a government or civil service environment. " Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required o " Experience working within a matrix environment.
