Requirement: *Business Systems Analyst with CIGNA''s Healthcare systems* Location: Bloomfield CT Rate: $40-45 Max Duration: 1 Years DUTIES >> • Defines information systems solutions to address business needs. • Analyzes business requirements and defines information systems solutions to address business needs (projects are technically challenging, requiring innovative and creative solutions and frequently involve multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools). • Consults with client management on approaches to address business needs or opportunities. • Acts as a knowledgeable systems analyst resource to client and development management and staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. • Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of project design decisions and how easily these designs can be implemented. • Business Analyst position will define solutions to address business needs and support development work on multiple enterprise end state and legacy data environments in support of Information Management projects and initiatives. • Primary responsibility will be analysis, specifications, testing (as needed) and production checkout. •Clearly document and communicate changes to customers and maintain a strong on-going relationship with business and systems partners. SKILLS >> • Basic knowledge of data warehousing; • Strong analytical and problems solving skills. • Proven ability to create and execute business specifications, acceptance testing, and production implementation. • Ability to manage small to large scale projects and bring these projects in on time and within budget to meet the project objectives. • Strong team player with the ability to juggle work and multitask, excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills. • Strong managed care background preferred and knowledge of data warehousing and medical management data a plus. • Working knowledge in one or more of CIGNA''s Healthcare systems. • Demonstrated working knowledge in *Mainframe DB2 +/or Client Server toolsets such as: FileAid, QMF, BRIO Query, FOCUS, EASYTRIEVE, Access, COGNOS, SAS. * EDUCATION >> •Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
