*Title: * *System Engineer***
*Location:* Atlanta, GA
*Duration:4 months *
*Description*
To be successful in this role one must be able to work effectively in a
fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires good communication skills
with technical team members, senior management and business contacts. This
role will develop and implement GPOs, scripts and packages to deploy windows
applications to clients and servers. The Engineer will provide supervision,
packaging and scripting technical guidance to application deployment teams.
In addition, the Engineer must be able to work with minimal supervision on
multiple concurrent projects. This role requires excellent troubleshooting
skills and attention to detail.
*Knowledge and Skills*
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Vista
- Excellent knowledge standard computing platforms
- Excellent knowledge of at least one scripting language Visual Basic,
PowerShell, Macro Wise VB scripting, WMI and WSH.
- Excellent knowledge of enterprise management technologies
- Expert knowledge of client GPO creation, deployment, testing and
troubleshooting
- Knowledge of SMS installer and SMS technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Accomplishes task with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Qualifications*
- Experience working in an enterprise environment of more than 1000 users
with a large remote and disconnected user base
- Must have 3 years experience with *Software Distribution via SMS*
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with *GPOs* in a *Windows 2003
Active Directory Enterprise environment*
- Experience with MSTs (Transforms) and MSPs (Patches)
- Must have experience with conflict resolution and Pre-flight checklists
- Must have knowledge and experience using *Wise scripting*
- One or more of the following Microsoft Certifications preferred
- MCTS: Business Desktop Deployment
- MCTS: Windows Vista – Configuration
- MCITP: Enterprise Administrator
- MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
