Candidates *must* have several years hands on experience not only installing and tuning but also trouble-shooting IIS (5.0/6.0/7.0) performance/scalability problems on Internet facing web farms/clusters. Candidate must be well versed with memory management techniques for SQL Server 2005/2008. Candidate must understand the memory management model used within ASP.NET and should be comfortable with tweaking parameters to maximize performance, reliability and scalability. Project Specific Requirements FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES** • Monitor system performance using performance monitoring tools like perfmon. • Setting up an alerting framework using either COTS products or custom scripts. • Review and analyze both legacy code base written in classic Microsoft technologies like VB, ASP, COM+ as well as more recent code written using ASP.NET and WEB 2.0 technologies to identify bottlenecks and recommend/implement appropriate solutions. • Analyze and decipher the results of monitoring tools and be able to provide solutions to resolve any problems which might be encountered. • Work with the IIS 6.0 resource kit to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
