Position: QA Tester Duration: 6 months+ Location: VA (Locals preferred/Not a must)
Hourly Rates: $40-42.00 -- MAX EAD/GC/Citizens MUST -Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that software performs correctly as specified and meets the quality and performance standards. Will be designing and developing automated integration and functional tests. Work closely with development and test teams to ensure the final code delivery meets product standards. -Experience with designing and developing automated tests and test frameworks is a MUST. Front and Backend test exp is required, particularly in web based and back office apps. Core Responsibilities: -Participate in all SDLC phases incl. design, development, test and post-production releases. -Analyze and interpret design specifications, business requirements and end-user feedback -Use application specifications to create robust test plans and test cases. -Use HP WinRunner and Quick Test Pro to create new scripts and maintain existing repository. -Perform User Interface, Functional, Integration, System and Regression testing. -Document and discuss test execution results and create defect tracking records for discovered problems. -Collaborate with Support and Development to research and test production issues. -Design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of automated tests -In-depth understanding of software testing principles and techniques. -Proficient with running SQL queries using tools Microsoft Query, Toad or command-line editors. Will be asked about the methodology that they use!
