Title: Oracle Apps Software Engineer -
TWO POSITIONS
Responsibilities:
Oracle Developer with Financials G/L, A/R, A/P. Candidate must have PL/SQL and Oracle Forms and Reports experience. BI Publisher or J2EE would be helpful.
1. Having a good understanding of the business function, this position develops, codes, tests and debugs software to enhance existing the effectiveness of the application. 2. Works with technical staff to understand and analyze moderately complex software problems and develops, codes, tests and debugs software to resolve issues. 3. May make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements. 4. May assist in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software. 5. May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications. 6. May provide direction and support to junior developers to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development. 7. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of software development as typically obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work on most phases of software development. Two-four years of software development or experience in a related field is preferred. A general understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software-development field is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above. Must possess the ability to communicate well with others, to perform work in a team environment, direct and act as a resource for less experienced software developers and relay necessary information as appropriate.
