*POSITION #1---Sr. XML Developer ----6 Months contract---* ** **Senior XML Developer About the Position: The role of the Senior XML Developer is to process and load multiple XML schemas into an Oracle database. This includes parsing and processing distinct XML files into a common format. This position will require an understanding of mortgage related concepts such as loan servicing, default, and foreclosure. Responsibilities: Develop processes to streamline the sourcing, processing and storage of data from multiple external sources. Analyze incoming data submissions. Work may involve the preparation and/or review of technical specifications. Support ad hoc data requests and ongoing requests for data from workstreams and business partners. Develop custom code to perform extraction, transformation, and load logic. Acquire and develop knowledge of industry practices to develop new ways to use existing data to add business value to existing processes. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and business experience. Experience with and knowledge of data management. The ability to support work across multiple teams and to communicate effectively with both technology and business groups. A minimum of seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in systems development with a recent focus on XML development. Candidates with experience in the fields of accounting, finance, and secondary mortgage activities are preferred The successful candidate must have exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are required. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Nice to Have Skills: Knowledge of internal Fannie Mae data and systems is desirable * * *POSITION #2---Sr. Unix Admin—Linux—3 Months in Silver Springs, MD—BR * ***Position Title: Unix Engineer Administrator* *Responsibilities:* Short term position to augment existing engineering staff during critical period. Administers and maintains all production and other mission critical technology resources in the DCI Unix Environment to include the following: Perform duties as assigned. Provide server administrative support for all Unix and Linux based supported servers in the Online environment with agreed upon availability and performance criteria. Develop, organize, and maintain required server related documentation. Monitor all servers' performance and network connectivity and troubleshoot any issues to maximize server uptime. Proactively monitor and resolve assigned customer trouble tickets, including resolving tickets within appropriate time frame and escalating tickets as needed. Respond to calls for service, Remedy trouble tickets, or customer requests in a manner that conveys enthusiasm and concern for customer requirements. Monitors and tunes the server environment to ensure availability and reliability. Evaluates, installs, tests, configures, maintains, monitors performance and troubleshoots server software. Implements systems patches and updates as needed. *Requirements:* Five to Seven years experience as a systems engineer. Must be a self-starter, and able to take direction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent troubleshooting skills. Clear and concise communication is critical.
