*Job Summary*

Works directly with customer in the support of environments supporting
critical and non-critical business processes.

Proactively researching, collecting of information and reporting on the
ability of the environments to support the capacity needs.

The candidate must be familiar with a variety of the technical and business
concepts, practices, and procedures related to the e-commerce industry.

This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
objectives and goals.

Advises customer and acts as their SME (subject matter expert) for their

This position requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and a
minimum of 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Leads and directs the work of others and performs a variety of complex

*Skills and Requirements*

-          10+ years' experience and a solid experience profile that can be
demonstrated with UNIX or UNIX like operating systems using Red Hat
Enterprise Linux on Intel x86-64

-          5+ years large environment experience working with enterprise
server platforms; preferably Cisco UCS, HP Blades/Proliant servers.

-          Strong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and
principals including TCP/IP and DNS/BIND.

-          Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage emerging
technologies.

-          3+ years scripting experience - Shell, Perl, Python or Ruby

-          5+ year's general UNIX system administration experience.

-          3+ years of experience in support of and administration with any
of the following:

o        Apache

o        TomCat

o        JBOSS

o        DNS/BIND

o        Postfix

o        Sendmail

-          Networking architecture and troubleshooting, operations
management.

-          Excellent communication and client relation skills.

-          Understanding of overall business functions and the impact of
technical decisions on business results.

-          Strong sense of urgency in support of all customers.

-          Ability to understand business requirements for technical needs
and utilize the business requirements information to prioritize work,
develop solutions, and set urgency for others.

-          Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with logical
problem solving from Layer 1 through Layer 7 of the OSI model.

-          Ability to work in a team environment that requires a great deal
of independent thinking and work execution.

-          Intel, AMD based blade server experience, using any UNIX or
LINUX version.

-          Monitoring tools - HP Openview, Remedy, and Quest

-          Veritas Software Suite knowledge (HA, VCS, NetBackup).

-          EMC Avamar backup implementation/administration experience

-          Practical or educational background in development principles.

-          Any developer experience using PERL, Python or Ruby

-          Configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet etc.

-          Ability to lead Incident calls and be able to drive efficient
problem resolution from both internal and external teams.
