*Job Description:*
The Security SOC Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management of
security policies and configuration of various technologies in use within
the Global Security Operations Center. In addition to other technologies,
this role is responsible for maintenance, development, and administration
of SIEM (ArcSight).
To be successful in this role, the individual must maintain an advanced
level of understanding of SIEM technologies (preferably ArcSight ESM)
involved with GSOC service delivery and troubleshooting to support our
diverse customers. The individual will be responsible for development of
custom parsers, monitoring content, and documentation, as well as
researching service features, known issues, advanced use cases and
troubleshooting techniques. Must be a self-starter able to take project
tasks from start to completion without direct supervision.
*Skills required:*
5 or more years in information security, network engineering, or software
development
SIEM technologies (ArcSight preferred)
Log management
Development experience (PERL or Python preferred
Engineering experience with other security tools.
*Skills Preferred but not required:*
Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
Antivirus
Web access firewall (WAF)
Network engineering/administration
CISSP or other relevant security certifications
