Job Title: Cloud Developer Location: McLean, VA/ Plano, TX/Richmond, VA Duration: 12 Months *Summary:* The Cloud Developer will perform configuration, development, and implementation of multiple vendor software to support our private cloud journey. This specific role is to support the development efforts for the private cloud leveraging the Open Stack software. The role involves collaborating with other cloud developers and Open Stack distribution vendors to engineer a cloud solution for use by the application developer community within Capital One. The Open Stack cloud will support the delivery transformation initiative and support agility and flexibility through end to end automation of application delivery including infrastructure provisioning and integration with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development platforms. *Responsibilities:* · Interfaces with customers and stakeholders to understand and clarify business and system requirements · Designs and develops software to automate the deployment of applications and infrastructure environments · Develops scripts and integration code to integrate multiple software components to achieve the business goal · Integrating with other infrastructure components such as storage and network components. · Develops documentation for the developed software · Coordinates with testing resources to support system and integration tests and resolve defects · Plans and leads the deployment of the cloud solution in production environment · Participates in post-implementation reviews of software development content and process to maximize knowledge transfer and learning experiences · Leverages design patterns, coding standards, architecture principles, best practices and other software engineering methodologies and practices *Basic Qualifications:* · 1 yr. experience developing applications using Agile principles · 2 yrs. experience in software development · B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or some other technical area which provides analysis and programming experience · Experience with Object Oriented programming languages and concepts and scripting languages (Python, Ruby) and frameworks (RAILS) · Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully in a demanding environment · Strong competencies (highly motivated, team player, results oriented, oral and written communication skills) · Ability to learn new subject matter quickly and work in a fast paced environment · Ability to interact with management and technical people at a variety of levels · Demonstrated ability to work successfully on a geographically dispersed team · Ability to act as the SME and lead initiatives *Preferred Qualifications:* · Experience with large scale software implementation · Experience in development of automation for infrastructure and storage provisioning and de provisioning · Knowledge of technical infrastructure · Experience using or developing on an Open Stack deployment (any distribution) Thanks & Regards *Kumar* Pyramid Consulting, Inc.
