*Job Description:*

The Software Engineer position involves all aspects of product development
including *designing, estimating, coding, and testing.*

The ideal candidate will have strong abilities to *design and build
features as part of an agile team, working on a large project.*

The Developer also serves as an information source to the project team.

We are looking for someone with *Crystal Reports, HTML and C# proficiencies*,
as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.



*SCOPE OF WORK:*

Seeks a Software Engineer to assist in migrating existing applications to
new platforms and technologies in the creation of a Public School
Information System as well as other applications in the future.



*Required Skills/Experience:*

*•At least 3 years’ experience with .NET and C#.*

*•At least 4 years’ experience with .NET WCF Technology.*

*•At least 4 years of HTML experience*.

•Deep Knowledge of *SQL Server including creation of procedures and
function, performance tuning, profiler, and CLR.*

•Strong Experience working in an *N-Tier environment.*

•Strong Experience with .*NET MVC 4 & 5*

•Experience with *Entity Framework, or similar ORM’s.*

•Experience with *Unit Tests.*

•Experience working in *an Agile Development process, preferably SCRUM.*

•JavaScript / jQuery.

•Strong understanding of development patterns.

•Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (*SOA).*

•Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (*SSRS).*

•*UML Modeling experience.*

•Understanding of Business Process Management and Workflow.

•Extensive experience using *Visual Studio, preferable 2012-2013.*

•Extensive experience using Team Foundation Server (*TFS).*



*Responsibilities:*

•Work with the Enterprise Architect as well as the Education Consultants
within the Bureau of Data Collection, Research and Evaluation to implement
development items within the domain, business, service, and presentation
layers.

•*Design, develop, test, document and support the code base*.

•Participate in the technical design of features.

•*Work in an Agile / Scrum environment to deliver high quality software
against an aggressive schedule.*

•Design and code *test automation*.

•Perform code review with the development team.

•Mentor junior developers when necessary.

•Complete development assignments according to iteration commitments.

•*Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support.*
