It will be 3 to 6 months+ long term contract assignment and it is through one of my preferred vendor. Location: Harrisburg, PA Role: Windows Network Engineer Duration: 3-6 month Interview: highly prefer face to face , phone may be accepted (candidates who can interview in person will be considered first) Start Date: within the next 1-2 weeks Overview: Candidate will lead a technical refresh of the infrastructure supporting our client. Assignment Responsibilities: • 3 to 6 month engagement – refresh the Windows infrastructure environment currently supporting all agency applications including a FileNet-based case management system • Plan and design new virtual server and storage configuration • Consolidate from current 25 physical servers (prior IBM models) to 6 – 8 new physical servers (new HS23 blades) • Configure Windows operating system on all new servers • Install and upgrade firmware and configuration changes • Establish and configure a virtualized server environment (first time in enterprise for virtualization); determine appropriate number of virtual servers and associated partition sizing • Install and configure new V3700 SAN and assist with migration of data from existing DS3200 platform • Implement storage management, tape backup, and recovery processes in line with agency policies • Document configuration and installation activities • Provide technical guidance to client application team to facilitate migration of applications to new infrastructure environment • Provide technical skills transfer to client infrastructure lead Required Technical Skills and Experience: • Experience with configuration of Windows server, IBM BladeCenter technologies, and IBM SAN environments • Experience in implementing and configuring virtualized server environments with VMware • Data migration skills in the SQL Server environment • Experience in implementing storage management, backup and recovery processes with Tivoli Storage Manager Specific Hardware/Software Platforms: • IBM V3700 • IBM HS23 Blade Server • Cisco 3110G • VMware vSphere • VMWare vMotion • Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) • Disaster Recovery Module (DRM) • TSM for Virtual Environments • Tivoli Information Portal (TIP) -- *Thanks&Regards,* * Kiran Kumar,* * 847-307-5966.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
