*If you have anyone with you for the following position. * * Send resumes to* *vib...@idctechnologies.com <vib...@idctechnologies.com>* *Linux Admin* *Lemont, IL* *MUST be USC * *WILL do SKYPE* *Position Description* - The Unix team manages a broad set of core infrastructure components for central IT including web application hosting, DNS, email, authentication, and many other Unix-based services. - This team is a part of the larger Infrastructure and Operations Department responsible for foundational infrastructure and services including servers, storage, file systems, databases, networking, datacenters, and other key technologies. - We work closely with other departments within the central IT division in order to provide a wide variety of crucial services for the laboratory. - We are seeking an experienced Linux systems administrator to join the team designing, implementing, and managing these services. - You will be given an opportunity to exercise and expand your skills in an enterprise environment filled with unique challenges. - An ideal candidate will show a passion for information technology and a desire to continuously learn. *Position Requirements * *Preferred Skills: * - Considerable knowledge and experience administering, maintaining, optimizing, and debugging the Linux operating system and its associated software. Experience working with multiple Linux distributions is desired, with an emphasis on Red Hat. Solaris experience is desired. - Experience with managing infrastructure throughout its lifecycle, from provisioning and configuration to orchestration and reporting. - Experience scripting repetitive tasks using open source programing languages. - Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere. - Experience with web technologies and services including LAMP, JBoss, Tomcat, Drupal, and load balancers. - Experience with database administration. - Understanding of software development lifecycles. - Experience with authentication and authorization technologies such as LDAP, Shibboleth and OpenAM. - Considerable experience developing tools and processes that help provide a robust and reliable information technology service portfolio. - Understanding of email transport including SMTP, mail transfer agents, and MX records. - Experience with storage technologies including SAN and NAS. - Capable of working in an enterprise environment, and able to implement robust business critical services.
