* Job Description:*

Minimum proven and successful 8 years in SAP BW, including 1+ year in BW
7.4 and 2+ years utilizing BI Suite 4.1

Production Support:  (including, but not limited to):
-Break-fix, enhancements, new requirements for data and/or reporting.
-Tools include BW, BEx Analyzer, and BOBJ.
-Resource must have capacity and ability to independently engage with
business (from executives to users) to assist in developing functional
requirements, translation of functional requirements into technical
requirements, quoting levels of effort, developing technical specs, and
using agile methodology to complete requests.  Candidate must be able to
effectively lead a team and conduct requirements interviews while assisting
with requirements definition.  Resource must be able to research, define,
and identify gaps within requirements and present to the business for
resolution.

ABAP skills are essential as we have many custom built extractors and data
flows utilizing ABAP language.  Should have hands on experience working
with BADI's, Function modules, transformation routines.

BOBJ skills including development and support of web intelligence,
dashboards, universe design, security, and administration are required.
Deploying new BI Suite toolset that includes (but not limited to) Analysis
Office, Design Studio, Lumira, and BOBJ Explorer.  These new tools will
allow for Welch Allyn to deploy mobility to our end users via mobile
devices.  Development skills utilizing these new tools as well as mobility
are desired.

Resource utilizes best practices, and instills these practices within the
business making recommendations for architecture changes to gain
efficiencies; aligning architecture and BI roadmap with corporate strategy;
assists with developing governance practices, requirements documentation,
Incident Manager ticketing, and prioritization of workloads.

This resource supports the entire Enterprise BI environment and includes
the following SAP content areas (including, but not limited to): Inventory
Management, COPA, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain, Profit Center P&L,
ECC Customer Master data, Material Master, Quality and Regulatory, CRM,
Pricing, Incentives and Payback, Rebate and Claim Processing, and Global
Product Data Management.  HR is an area we expect to deploy this year as
well.  This individual must be versed, and/or have the capability to
understand data sets in each of these areas of support.  In addition, we
also support external data sets, which includes Sales Trace, SK&A
Demographics, and Customer Master data.  While many of these include
standard content, there is a large part of this architecture that has
custom extracts, coding, and logic built in.  Should have very good
knowledge and understanding of different functional areas in SAP like SD,
MM, WM, QM, PPM, COPA, FI.

The candidate needs to have an excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting,
and think outside of the box mentality.

The resource designs, develops and enforces standards and architecture for
installing, configuring and using business intelligence applications for
the purpose of directing and managing the organization.

Partners with IT and cross functional teams to design/test/implement new
development/enhancements to architecture and/or reporting analytics.

Assists and supports implementation, configuration, and testing of BW/BOBJ
hardware and software upgrades and installations.

Should have excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects across business domains

Keeps up to date with technology changes and identifies opportunities for
implementation in future systems

Strong familiarity with relational database (RDBMS), data warehouse design,
multi-dimensional OLAP database, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), and Master
Data Management (MDM) concepts

Ability to explain complex technical concepts in pictures and words that
are understandable to a broad (including non-technical) audience.
