*Position: Cognos developer with investment data experience* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 6-8 months* *Must do F2F and rate is open.* Looking for a LOCAL (NYC) Report Writer with excellent understanding of asset management data and strong Reporting / Cognos / SQL skill sets to work on report automation within the Marketing Investments area of the Technology Solutions & Services Group. This role will involve working with business partners and technical teams to understand and implement reporting requirements using various tools, including but not limited to Cognos and Varden eReportal. *Principal Responsibilities:* • Partner with business users, business analysts and developers to understand data architecture and business needs, and work fairly independently to build out reports per business requirements. • Build and enhance customized reports of varying complexity using Cognos, Varden eReportal (training to be provided) and other reporting tools as needed. • Bring a high level of reporting expertise, employ best practices in report implementations, and learn new reporting tools quickly. • Participate in testing activities as needed, including assisting with test case creation and performing user acceptance testing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, comprised of business analysts, report writers, software developers, testers, and business groups. *Job Requirements:* • At least 3-5 years of experience in a report writing role within the financial services industry. • Strong background in reporting tools: Cognos required, at least one additional reporting tool preferred (e.g. Actuate, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Report Studio, Spotfire). • Proven ability to learn new databases and reporting systems quickly and effectively. • Data analysis and business intelligence skills, including proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Excel. • Knowledge of investments data experience in mutual fund industry strongly preferred. • Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately. • Self-motivator with great attention to detail and follow-through. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. • Strong knowledge of technology implementation methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, SDLC etc.) Regards *Mayank* 978-558-4666 x 103 *may...@teknavigators.com* <may...@teknavigators.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
