*Position: IT security* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 6 months contract * Phone interview then Face to face. My client is looking for an IT security consultant who will be able to provide team support for ongoing duties. Below is a list of desired capabilities Client is looking for. *PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * 1. The role is responsible for supporting the tools utilized by client InfoSec as well as responding to and remediating Alerts from our MSSP to ensure high availability. 2. The candidate must have at least 7 years of network and security experience. 3. Maintain all network and security systems to meet clients current and future requirements. 4. Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve network and security related issues, often under time constraints. 5. Optimize existing tool configuration and policy tuning upgrades. 6. Strategic and Technical excellence in multiple disciplines in Security 7. Must be able to document and communicate their findings 8. Configure and maintain security devices (Proxy servers, File Integrity Systems, DLP, Log Aggregator, WAF, Application White Listing) 9. Expertise in the following platforms : Foundstone, Varonis, Loglogic, Hitachi-ID. 10. Proactively monitor all security systems, anticipate problems and suggest solutions. 11. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented solutions. 12. Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for network and security best practices. 13. Knowledge of applicable data privacy and laws, ITIL processes and procedures, project management, infrastructure hardware products/components technologies 14. Provide 24x7 on-call support as required.
