*Position: ETL Developer* *Job Duration: 6 months contract* *Location: West Des Moines, Iowa* *Interview Type: Face-to-face is required* *GC citizens only* *POSITION SUMMARY* The ETL Developer will be an integral member of the Enterprise Technical Services team in a growing and evolving IT organization. This is a mid-level position with responsibility and accountability for data architecture, database development and support, and data integration with other systems. Data Integration projects will require a wide set of skills, from knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tactics to creating meaningful business requirement documents. Areas of focus include: Data Strategy, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Integration. There is significant focus on database design, programming, testing, implementation, and ongoing management. *RESPONSIBILITIES* A Business Analyst (BA) gathers data from internal files and client files (sometimes millions of files) and delivers to ETL Developer. The ETL Developer converts these files into a useable format and delivers them to the Data Analysts so the Analysts can manipulate the data to their needs, run reports, and covert to Excel tables that are saved to the SharePoint system. The ETL Developer will act as a secondary Database Administrator (DBA): The ETL Developer might occasionally assist the primary DBA, and may cover DBA responsibilities any time the primary DBA might be absent. For this reason, some experience performing basic database administration tasks related to Microsoft SQL Server is a plus. *HIRING REQUIREMENTS* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major or an Associate’s degree with comparable work experience - Minimum five years of experience with BI & ETL tools and their technologies, Data Integration, Data Modeling & Business Intelligence - Minimum five years of experience supporting systems in a production environment - Minimum four years of professional information technology experience pertinent to database operations, program development knowledge/technologies and database architectures on both the Windows AND Linux OS - Demonstrated knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL, PL/SQL and stored procedures - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL and MySQL and ability to efficiently write in T-SQL - The ETL Developer should have experience working with a mix of the following technologies: o Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and newer releases o IBM’s DB2 o MySQL o Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) o Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) o Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) o IBM’s Cognos Business Intelligence and Financial Performance Management (FPM) o SAP BusinessObjects o Oracle’s Siebel Business Intelligence applications o Microsoft Power Pivot (Excel 2010 spreadsheet BI add-in for data models) o Microsoft Power View (SQL Server 2012 add-in for SharePoint Server 2010 EE) o Araxis Merge 6.5 (2 and 3-way file comparison, merging, and folder synchronization) o Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel and Access - Strong understanding of enterprise operations strategies and protocols; Demonstrated knowledge of database system service delivery, with a strong customer focus in a complex environment - Knowledge of database platform activities involving security, systems analysis, change control, maintenance and support responsibilities - Solid experience in Data Mapping, Data Migrations, and Meta-Data Management (MDM) - Good understanding of the implementation and use of the MDM/BI tools & their technologies - Technical aggressiveness, demonstrated ability to learn new technologies - Ability to think analytically to solve technical problems individually and in a team environment - Ability to work on several medium-sized projects with minimal supervision - Experience with the evaluation of technology products, tools and services for the purpose of improving existing processes and projects - Ability to work efficiently and accurately on multiple projects while subjected to frequent interruptions - Excellent writing, grammatical and proofreading skills (in English) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English) - Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communications skills - Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred - Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines Regards *Mayank* 978-558-4666 x 103 *may...@teknavigators.com* <may...@teknavigators.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
