Job Description: IBM InfoSphere Administrator / Architect



Role expectation:

·         Review current system and application architecture to provide
recommendation for potential future improvements.

·         Review and design overall Disaster Recovery requirement of the
application.

·         Collaborate with the client's technical team to formulate and
plan a step by step InfoSphere DataStage v8.7 to v11.5 migration of all
jobs and script relevance to the project.

·         Work with the client's technical team to peform the necessary
installation and configuration of IBM InfoSphere v11.5.

·         Perform required validation of migrated objects, jobs and scripts.





Responsibility Summary:



The InfoSphere administrator will be required to review the client's
existing setup and configuration in DataStage v8.7 to document and migrate
this setup to the latest v11.5. The administrator would be required to
perform the InfoSphere DataStage v11.5 installation on a new system and
perform the necessary configuration for the environment based on the
existing configuration. The administrator will also be required to elevate
the current application security to work with the clients existing security
protocol (LDAP).





Qualification and Capabilities:

·         Strong knowledge in Linux infrastructure, able to navigate and
perform system configuration and application installation.

·         Have prior experience installing and configuring IBM InfoSphere
v8.7 and above.

·         Have prior experience in configuring LDAP security within IBM
WebSphere.

·         Experience in BuildForge workflows, SVN, Git
