*Position: Data Analyst* *Location: Chicago, IL(Locals only)* *Duration: 6+months(possible extension)* *Interview: phone and onsite f2f (local only)* *Responsible for Assisting the Application Development team in: * • Helping app dev team members write better SQL • Evaluating SQL code for performance • Checking SQL code for compliance with standards • Coordinating the design and maintenance of the conceptual, logical and physical data models • Assisting with data mapping between conceptual, logical, and physical data models • Researching data defects • Doing data profiling • Running and monitoring JCL to load data into development and test copies of the application and ODS databases • Maintaining data loading JCL, proc, and control files using TSO and Filemaster utilities • Write and maintain the project data management plan • Coordinate or execute all tasks and processes outlined in the data management plan as applicable. *This position is also responsible for Database and data-related activities: * • Support for development, testing and production environments within the project in a multi-platform environment • Support for the application development, testing and production teams working on multiple phases of CCSP projects • Coordination with the legacy (VSAM) data transformation efforts into DB2 (DB1/DB2 project) • Implementing project approaches, and procedures for: database support services, database monitoring and scheduling, database refresh backup, database restoration and error recovery. • Coordinating support product and tool upgrade and testing, validation and rollback across multiple test and production environments and on multiple platforms • Participation in the design, implementation, deployment and support of Operational Data Stores (ODS) • Implementing standards and procedures for CCSP project-level monitoring and reporting: • Operations and regularly scheduled and unscheduled data ETL processes, database refreshes and report generation systems • Development- test- and production-environment data refresh, maintenance and support services • Regularly scheduled and unscheduled startup and shut-down procedures in a multi-platform environment. • Monitoring development- test- and production-systems for performance availability and Operational Level Agreements (OLA) from supporting teams and Service level agreements (SLA) with the business • Coordinating with Environment Lead for support from Operations, Change Control, Release Management, Enterprise Infrastructure Services, Database Operations, Help Desk, Problem Management and other teams that have no reporting structure to this position. • Participating in: • Defect response and failure recovery, trace-back, root cause analysis and operational / process improvements for support systems databases • Disaster Recovery planning, organization and testing. • Capacity planning initiatives *Job Requirements: * 1) 5 years Database application support experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related software development and deployment experience. 2) Minimum 5 years working in a formal project management environment using a software development methodology. 3) Strong Relational Database Management experience, including data modeling, logical and physical database design, DB operations tuning, DB operations support, DB applications tuning 4) Familiarity with main-frame DB2 (including triggers and stored procedures) VSAM files and UDB 5) Familiarity with data Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) tools 6) Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and lead. 7) Demonstrated project experience managing database development and deployment projects across all phases. 8) Demonstrated knowledge of UNIX, AIX, WINDOWS, CICS (batch and interactive), DB2 and DB2/SQL. *Required Qualification(s)* 5 years Database application support experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences Regards *Mayank* 978-558-4666 x 103 *may...@teknavigators.com* <may...@teknavigators.com> *TekNavigators LLC* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
