Essential Functions This position will provide oversight of our clients SharePoint farm. · Oversee the SharePoint infrastructure, user access and application deployment. Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all web portal servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure. · Serve as the primary lead in the establishment of controls, standards and procedures for the SharePoint environment. · Participate in the configuration and maintenance of document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections. Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, and infrastructure issue resolution. · Maintain and administer the SharePoint farm, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis; as well as perform as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide technical guidance to the team in the technologies related to the development and support of an Enterprise SharePoint environment (understanding relationship with active directory, SQL, IIS, etc.). · Evaluate and implement SharePoint upgrades and patches. · Coordinate with development and users in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored and retrieved. · Perform installations, configuration, troubleshooting and optimization of SQL in relation to the SharePoint databases. · Develop scripts to automate administrative tasks and performance monitoring. · Monitor SharePoint performance and work with Network Services to resolve performance issues. · Make recommendations on overall SharePoint Architecture changes based on data growth, usage growth, etc. · Act as gatekeeper of production environments; approve solution deployments; implement and monitor production changes; establish and administer a process for monitoring developer access to the production environment. · Create and manage proper authorization and authentication to SharePoint farm assets. Requirements Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the administration of SharePoint Server, SharePoint Services, IIS 6 & 7, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008; experience administering SharePoint environment configuration, site collection creation, sub site and page configuration, InfoPath forms, designing and implementing custom workflows, and custom web parts. Experience managing SharePoint implementations and migrations. Experience managing SharePoint infrastructure including server, site, and farm configurations. Experience with SQL Server 2008 administration is required.
