*Role: Storage engineer* *Dallas, TX* *Duration:6+ months* *Skype * We need the following resources to help either supplement their staff and/or work the conversion side of the project. I suspect all weekends are in play – although we will try and limit work over Easter/Mothers day/Fathers day. They are generally a Windows shop with a variety of storage and a very poor 1GB Cisco based network. They will need the following types of resources - Network - Server/CISCO SHOP - Storage/ VMware - Testing They have IBM/Dell/HP Servers from old propellant DL360 Gen 4 models to Dell newer models (I’ve not seen any Dell 730’s but they do have several servers in the 620/720 line. Their direction is Nutanix – and have a 14 node cluster that they will be running VMWare on… Lots of PtoV in this migration effort. Their Windows environment spans from Serer 2000 to one or two 2016 systems and anything in between. They run Exchange as their e-mail server & have purchased 365 license – but will probably port what they have rather than jump to 365. Storage consists of IBM V7000 to Hitachi to Compellent. After that you get into very old storage they are trying to move off of.
