Yes. I was just looking for a few "it works" comments. The linecomp
register affects the address generator so if it's programmed incorrectly
you get a split screen. I hadn't tested things very well before especially
interlaced and doublescan modes. I just tried both and they seem to work
correctly.

I just realized that infact I do have XFree86 installed. I didn't have it
on my older Redhat 7.1 installation but apparently Gentoo wanted to
install everything XFree86 related with XDirectFB. Perhaps I should
configure it and try if it hangs...
