Hi all,

Sorry if it's a stupid question: What is the meaning of 'noaccel'
parameter to a framebuffer driver, like viafb? In viafb, it is defaulted
to 1 and 'defaultaccel' is set to !noaccel, which is 0. But the code for
setting default_var.accel_flags according to defaultaccel is commented
out, and it is set to 0 no matter how. How does this affect the performance?

Another question is that I tried 'fbset -bcast true' after inserting
viafb.o with TVoverscan either 0 or 1, but there was no effect at all.
And in some modes, like 720x576 PAL, TVoverscan doesn't seem to affect
anything. The TV output is always well inside the screen, with the left
side clipped a bit (the left side is still within the screen, but a
portion of about a few character wide is clipped). Am I issuing the
-bcast true command correctly? What is the expected effect?

Thanks!

Selwyn
